250g All Purpose Flour
125g Lukewarm Milk
5g Instant Yeast (read the amount usage instruction on the packaging)
30g Melted Unsalted Butter
1 Egg (weighs 58-60g whole egg)
Make a well in the middle of the flour.
Pour in the lukewarm milk.
Add in the instant yeast.
Stir till the yeast is well mix into the milk.
Cover a thin layer of flour over the yeast and milk mixture and set aside.
After 10 mins, cracks starting to appear on the flour.
Mix the melted butter, egg, sugar and salt.
Pour in the egg mixture.
Mix at low speed for 2 mins, then increase the speed a notch higher and continue to mix for 40 mins.
Do not attempt to add any water, even the dough looks wet or sticky. Watch the video tutorial for more info.
Aftyer 40 mins, the dough is pulling away from the mixing bowl. At this point the dough is done. Otherwise continue mixing.
Cover with cling wrap and set a side to proof.
Once the dough is double in size, place the dough on a unfloured counter top and flaten it with your fingers.
Roll the dough and divide it into equal portions.
Form into dough balls, and set aside to rise.
Once the dough balls have doubled in size, brush it with egg wash.
Sprinkle some chia seeds, or sesame seeds.
Baking mode: Top & bottom heating elements without fan.
Baking Temperature 180°C, Baking Time 15 minutes.
